For a wine lover red or white wine is the most likable for them. There are very rare wine aficionados to proclaim a love for both white and red wines. Sarcastically this is what that each goes with particular dishes. In fact here is a quick review on the various red wines. When it comes to a red, Cabernet Sauvignon is the standard bearer. If you are novice to the wine experience, it will hard to go with red wines. This red wine was originally associated with Bordeaux, France wineries and has undergone a unique expansion. Fact is that red wines are produced neither from California nor from Australia. The wine is either medium or bold in taste and often is noted for its black currants aroma and flavor. The Merlot red wine is gaining popularity on the cabs quickly. Merlot red wine is initially produced in vineyards of California and Chile and as a traditional wine it has been produced in Bordeaux also. Taste can be challenging in this full blooded red wine. If you will compare this wine with a cab, Merlot red wine will packed with a lot of taste and higher alcohol content than a cab and much smoother than a cab. If you are just starting out with the wine experience it will be a better choice for you. Pinot Noir is the next well-known wine from the red wine cellar. This wine is getting darling for most wineries and most wine drinkers. Pinot Noir is also simple winery like Cabernet Sauvignon. The vintages are noticeably different and some can be awful. On the other hand, many a wine expert has opined that Pinot Noir done right is the finest wine possible. Unlike cabs and Merlots, this wine is not produced in mass quantities due to its temperament. The best comes from Burgundy, France, but acceptable vintages are produced by wineries in California and Oregon.
